Bite not right?!

Question:

Bite not right?

A couple weeks after I got my braces off, I lost my bite. Like it doesn't click together anymore. I'll hit my front teeth first or something, or one side won't go down all the way. I went to my orthodondist and he tryed fixing it by shaving off a tiny fraction of the tooth, and it helps, but then when I get home, I've lost it again. He's had to do this twice, and everytime it's messed up again when I get home.

It doesn't affect my eating or chewing or anything, it's just kind of annoying and uncomfortable to bite down and not have a correct bite.

Has this happened to anyone else before? How did you fix it?

Umm, they did give me a retainer and I wore 22 hours the first 5 months and now I wear it every night. I'm really good about wearing it.

You may need a bite splint to correct your jaw alignment. Find a Pankey Dentist near you... http://www.pankeydentist.org/ I used to work for a dentist who trained at the Pankey Institute and her specialty is adjusting bites. Good luck I know it can be very frustrating.
