I am getting braces soon and am really nervous....?

i am getting braces put on soon and i am really nervous and the ortho. mentioned putting in spacers a week before the braces but i don't have any idea what they are. do they hurt? can some one give me info about spacers? id also appreciate some general advice with braces thanks

spacers make a space around your molar to fit a metal band around it.And dont be nevous having braces is just one sep closer to a greater smile.oh and im getting braces too ive been begging my mom to take me to the dentist already hope that makes you feel any better.
