I am grateful to those kind people who have advised me to file down the sharp pi!
Question: on my top denture.I have now done this, but it really needs some of the sealant they use to make it really smooth. What would do? It would not have to be poisoneous,of course. It really is as small as half a finger nail.

I'm surprised you paid all of that money for the denture and for whatever reasons are not going back to the dentist for any adjustments... since you removed the clasp that was bothering you, you have inadvertantly broken the denture to some degree... there could possibly be a hairline fracture in it now, and continuous pressure on it can it cause it to break completely... and the dentist would not be at fault.
Schedule an appointment to have the denture smoothed the right way... whether it be by using an acrylic bur or a lathe with some pumice on a wet cloth wheel... it won't take long at all, and you'll be more comfortable wearing your new denture!
:)
Go to the dentist and get them to do it
temporary tooth filler from the chemist....maybe.
