I'm getting braces tomorrow, what can I expect?!

It wont really hurt when you are getting them on, it is after when it hurts, unless they tighten them that day..that hurts

you might feel like your lips stick out than farther than normal, cuts on your lips, and pain. but its worth it!

a long wait lol! it does not hurt when they put it on its more the first second day mine got better after that yours might not.
You might want to bring chap stick they get soar some dentist might have vaciline but its always nice to know you can put some on.

lots of pain for the first week.. Chew a lot of gum, because it helps with the pain. Don't eat gummy/chewy foods.

I had braces when i was 13. I was nervous about my appointment but it turned out to be alright. I didn't feel anything. I think maybe it was a hour job. Not totally sure that was a long time ago. Hope this is helpful. :)
Take Advil at least a half hour before going. Make sure you get the wax that goes over your braces as well. The braces are rough and will be abrasive to the inside of your mouth, especially when you're sleeping. In a couple weeks you'll feel better. Before you get them tightened take the Advil again.
Make sure you take good care of your teeth when you have braces. If you don't brush enough you can stain your teeth permanently. Good Luck!!
You'll be in there for HOURS with you mouth open and once you finally get to close it, your lips won't close because they are so dry. It is the most embarrassing and disgusting feeling in the world.
After you get them on, use the wax they give you. Your teeth will probably hurt, some more than others. Try to eat soft food, make yourself some Jello. That's what I ate when I got braces a year ago. treat yourself with a milkshake too. Good luck, you'll do fine and if people tell you it's going to hurt, don't listen. <3
p.s. Take a pain killer right BEFORE you go in.
It doesn't hurt THAT much.
Your jaw will feel sort of sore.
And afterwards, it will hurt.
Like, chewing hard things will cause you pain.
But it's never as bad as everyone says.
I hope that you like soup. Don't worry, the Dentist will give you a baseball bat when you have them removed. That will be to fight the girls off if you are a boy or to fight the boys off if you are a young lady.
Pain, tough to speak clearly, tough to eat. Is it worth it? YES, since crooked teeth for a lifetime is not attractive or fun. The Pain will go away within a few days when the nerves in your mouth adjust. It will be alright.
dont listen to all those guys heres the truth...You feel nothing when your getting them on but it is a long wait. it hurts a little like an hour after their on but i feel eating soft foods really eases the pain !!! REALLY !!!

Expect some weird feelings in your mouth. It's not bad, if you have someone who actually knows what they are doing. The worst pain you can feel while having braces is if you need your wisdom teeth taken out.
expect to become the new loser in school.Also forget ever finding a bf or gf. Also you probably wont get kissed again until they come off...good luck :-)
