First off... i don't want people saying things like "thats disgusting" and "you shouldn't do that" so if that's your intention please go away i'm not trying to be rude it's just that i want real facts

I would like to know from people who have had it done...
How much did it cost? Was it painful? How long did it take to heal? If you had the chance to do it over again, would you?

what are the chances of infection?
how can i find a good place in california?
please no guessing i would like real answers and any other real facts

I've had mine done for 7 yrs. I think it cost me around $45. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was going to. It took about 5 days before it wasn't tender any more. Yes I would do it again. As long as you don't have infections in your mouth, you rinse often ( I mean very often), and you don't play with it, you should be just fine. It depends on where you live in Cali but just look in the phone book and call or visit places. Ask ?s and always make sure they are using sterilized tools, etc. They should open all packages in front of you (needle, etc).
Just to let you know: be very careful while you eat or chew gum if you get/have it done. Its a good way to ruin your teeth if you accidentally bite it.
