I just had my wisdom teeth out two days ago, how long should I wait before drinking alcohol?

Even though I totally understand how pain of this magnitude can really make you crave a margarita - you really should wait ! The oral surgeons usually recommend you wait 5-7 days because alcohol thins your blood, and can sometimes cause complications in the socket. Also, if you drink too much, and get careless, drinking from a straw or sucking on anything (like ice - no perverted stuff intended) you can bust the blood clot loose as well and end up with a dry socket!!
