Answers: yes, they especially loved Colgate toothbrushes...lol

Sure, that was their first priority.

Cavemen probably did not brush their teeth. Life expectancy was (if I remember correctly) at maximum 30 years of age. By the time their teeth generally started falling out of their heads, they were dead anyway.

Most likely they had a form of it. They did not have brushes of course, but something like it to get away any grime.

And some didn't, just like today.

"Chew Sticks" have been found from over 7000 years ago. So I don't see why someone wouldn't have used them 100,000 years ago.

They only lived to be 30 years old or so. and they didn't eat sugary, artificial things, and smoke and drink colas.
NO. no teeth brushing, and no wooden brushes found in cave dwellings.

Surprised by the other answers. The answer is yes. The how is they would chew on the end of a stick until it became fibrous and use that. The reason we know is there are records of this happening in primitive societies we have dealt with in more recent times.

NO

cavemen did have a very basic sense of hygiene. most animals do. although they didn't go out and buy a toothbrush, and paste, they did pick their teeth out with twigs, and also they would chew the end of a suitable twig until the end was frayed, then rub their teeth with it. they ate seasonal food. so in summer, they would eat honey from bees nests, and depending on where they lived in the world, dont forget about things like sugar cane etc, and fruits, so they would still have had a problem with tooth decay and gum disease. these could sometimes be killers, as they could lead to septicaemia- blood poisoning. so yes, they did have a basic sense of oral care. though not necessarily a twice daily ritual!

toothpaste was invented during victorian times (I think that is what the time period was called). It was when people didn't bathe and wore heavy perfume and big ball gowns. I don't remember exact dates right now. It made their breathe smell better and teeth shiney. They used their finger to apply. I remember reading that the upper class was so glad that it was invented. The toothbrush wasn't invented until later.
