Can i wear my rubberbands longer than what the ortho told me?!
Question: im supposed to wear my rubberbands for 8 hours a day. what will happen if i wear then longer(like 12 hours)

Actually, it's not a good idea to wear them longer. Talk to your Ortho first. When I had my braces on, my Ortho told me specifically NOT to wear them longer because it would pull my teeth too far off the gum line. In other words, they wouldn't stay centered with the gums.
yeah you can wear them longer i dont think it will speed up your process they recommend that u wear them at least that long
be careful they might move to much causing you to stay in them longer.I have rubber bands and have to wear the 22 hours a day. You are lucky
Your orthodontist knows best. Wearing them longer may cause your teeth to move faster but it may not be in the direction you would like to see. Instead of pulling your teeth closer it may pull other teeth farther apart causing spaces or vice versa. I recommend you speak to your orthodontist before you wear your rubberbands for prolonged periods of time.
Do what the Ortho. said becasue it is possible to OVER CORRECT your bite.......and if you do over correct your bite yoiu will have to wear yoiur elastics the opposite way to move youir jaw back into place. Follow that instructions youir Dentist prescribed yoiu.
