Braces and going away for school?!

Question: HI ok well im soon to get my long needed braces on in a month or two and at the same time i also aplied for this semester program( it last about 4 months, a break in between) for the beinging of next year.
-so if i were to get accepted i would only have my braces on for a few months, and i would be going away for school considering the school id go to is in denver and i live in texas. I dont know what to do .i dont want to turn down a chance of a life time becuase of braces but yet if i dont get my braces now i probly wont get the chance to do them later(insurence issues)

-So maybe if anyone that knows about orthodontistry would help me out what could i do ? I was thinking maybee months before i leave the doc can extra tighten my braces so the proces would move a bit faster and when it gets into a better alignment i could use invisaline so i would have to worry about tightning and etc. or maybe a permanet retainer until i come back ?

thanks alot

Whatever orthodontist your supposed to get ur braces from, you need to ask them what you should do. My suggestion is to get the braces wherever you will be the longest. If worst comes to worst, you might want to hold off on braces until you have absolute time to have it done with no worries. If you want better advice, go to the message board on archwired.com, they give good dental/braces advice

Once you get braces, you need to visit the dentist regularly
