Anyone ever had "finishing wire"?!
Question: For braces, just today i got "finishing wire" on. This means that they won't have to change the wire again before they take them off. (Changing the wire has been replaced with tightening the wire) Anyway, I won't have to get new wire ever again, but has anyone ever had braces, and had finishing wire, and knows how long the final stage is?

My daughter was given this option when she was nearing the end of her orthodontic work. She had been wearing braces for more than two years and really didn't want to wear them anymore. After much discussion with the orthodontist, we decided to let her get the braces taken off and have her use a retainer instead. If she had gone with the finishing wire, that would have meant another two months of wearing braces.
the final stage of braces depends on how bad ur teeth are now and were in the begining, ask your orthodontist the same question and he can give u an exact answer!
