Skin color after oral surgery?!

Question: When I had my upper canine exposed [it wasnt coming down and there was a lot of gum tissue around it], I was given a lot of local anesthetic because I was apparently the first one to do so awake. Anyway, after about a week, the swelling in my cheeks died down, but a yellowish color showed up from just below of tear ducts to just about the bottom of the side of my jaw. It's not bold yellow, but there's a tinge of it, and since my skin is fairly tan [asian], I don't know if i should worry. Is this normal?

Sound like your bruised. When I had my surgery on my upper canines I got a black eye. I would worry if you start running a fever or develop pus on the surgical area. It took me about three to four days before the black eye was gone, if the color doesn't go away by then, your should have it checked out.
Hope this helps ya out.

it is a small bruise and will go

It sounds like you have some leftover bruising from the surgery. You probably didn't notice it until it turned brown because you are tan. It should be fine.

yes it is the remains of a "black and blue" while it is healing it turns to yellowish and then finally back to normal. You had the surgery so that caused bleeding under the skin so now it will take a while to heal.
