Can a bite plate correct of minimize jaw crookedness?!
Question:
Can a bite plate correct of minimize jaw crookedness?
Hi,
I just went to see another orthodontist to see if there was any way to correct the way that my teeth are becoming crooked with the braces that I currently have on them and she explained that we could try to minimize the crookedness with a bite plate.
Before I pay my old orthodontist and then pay this new one that is asking for 5K, can someone please let me know if this will work. Right now my teeth look very slanted and I want to try to fix this or to minimize the appearance of the slant with procedures that would not require surgery.
Please help.
Thanks so much,
J
Answers:
yes it can, it allows some teeth to grow more than others and then it corrects the skewness, but it is not very stable and must be worn well and for a long time.
