Gingivitus?!
Question:
Gingivitus?
what is it? how do you get rid of it?
Answers:
Gingivitis is the inflammation or infection of the gums caused by buildup. There are two kinds of buildup, soft sticky plaque (and when that hardens) that turns into tartar, which is hard like cement. If you haven't had a cleaning you should see your dentist or hygienist for a checkup, xrays (if needed) and a cleaning. During the cleaning the plaque and tartar will be removed. Although you can remove plaque at home with brushing 2-3 times a day and flossing daily the tartar cannot be removed by you because it is too hard and often unaccessible. You must get rid of this infection or it can evolve into periodontal disease, which is when the bone surrounding your teeth begins to breakdown. Dental (mouth) health is directly related to a healthy body...
