Question: Nitrous oxide vs conscious sedation (pill)!?
Which is better!? I will be having conscious sedation (pill form) to remove 4 wisdom teeth and get a cavity filled!.!.!.!. and Im SCARED! I read from some people that at time they hear the tools/cracking, or feel pressure!. Had anyone gone though the pill sedation!? What was it like!? The dentist said I wont remember anything most likely!. Well, if I can respond to him, how can I not remember it later!. Is it like a memory eraser after, will I have all my senses during!? Or will I not be with it at all!? Im just kinda confused and scared on what to expect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My sister had conscious sedation!. The doctor said she would be "conscious", but really won't be capable of CARING what's going on!. She confirmed that that was the case!. Her husband was there to drive her home, and was warned that she would be asking the same questions repeatedly for a bit!.!.!.which she did, lol!. I'd say "cc"s sister's experience is very unusual!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Nitrous Oxide as sedation will relax you, but that was about it when I had it!. Some people it has a stronger effect!.
Other times I had Nitrous Oxide as a general anaesthetic it knocked me out and for what you are having done (four wisdom teeth) and if you are scared and not happy with the alternative you should consider that, unless the extractions are likely to be straightforward (most aren't esp having all four out)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had all four wisdom teeth removed via IVCS (intravenous conscious sedation) and I was in lala land for the duration of the surgery!. I would have my teeth put back in and reremoved to get another 4mg of versed IV!. It was the best/fuzziest/longest 2 minutes of my life!. I barely remember feeling a pressure in my mouth and then I was out again!. The memories didn't come back until the doctor told me I asked him to "quit f-cking with my mouth, I'm trying to sleep"!. It isn't bad, the recovery is what you should be worried about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Oh mi gawd!.!.!.Don't mean to scare you but my poor poor oldest sister had that done, me and the rest of my sisters got put under because of it! She could hear and remember everything! She said it was like being in a living nightmare!. Apparently the doctors said she was crying through the whole procedure!. She stopped going to the dentist because of it for 5 years following!.
