Lip infection?!
Question: Lip infection!?
Okay, I pierced my lip on Friday (2 days ago) and i'm really proud of the piercing!. I did it myself, I used sterilized needles, I wore latex gloves, I know im not alergic to latex, and I used the clamps!. I brush my teeth and use alcohol-free mouthwash when I wake up and before I go to bed, and brush after every meal!. I use alcohol swabs on the outside; I clean around the piercing, and under it, then afterwords squeeze some extra alcohol onto it!. I wash my hands before I hold the swab so I dont contaminate it!. I use H2Ocean spray on the outside, and dont whipe it off, just like it says!. Now for the problem!. My lip is still swollen, which I know is normal for the first week or so, but its still sore!. Not like unreasonably painful, just sore, even when im not touching it at all!. I dont think i have an infection, but i'm really scared!. What do you think!? Is it normal for it to still be sore!? I think if it was an infection then it would be red and swollen! Try putting some ice on it!. Have you tried putting some orajel on there to numb it up so maybe it won't aggravate you so bad! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
