Question: A wrenching tooth ache!.!?
I had a cap done on my tooth and it slipped off and now every time that I put something cold on it, it hurts!. I keep taking medicine but it can help for about 2 hours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you have a temporary cap or is it the permanent one!?
It isn't unusual for a temporary to be sensitive to begin with as it's made of an acrylic type of material!. When a temporary comes off sometimes you can put vaseline in it and put it back on or go back to the Dentist and they will recement it for you!. To ease the pain, take an over the counter pain reliever (Ibubrofen or Tylenol) and buy a sensitive toothpaste!.!.(Sensodyne or Biotene) and rub some on the area and use as a toothpaste as directed!.
If it's a permanent crown that came off it needs to be cemeneted back on!. It's more unusual for them to come off but it's not unheard of!.!.!. You will need to go back to the dentist and have them recement the crown!. If you leave the crown off you could cause more problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go see your dentist ASAP!. When they do a cap they expose sensitive parts of your teeth roots and gums and that is why you are in pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
