I would suggest that your grandma begin by rinsing her mouth out with warm water and a small amount of table salt ( This will break down in the hot/warm water)and putting in a few teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide!.( This is affordable and is located in the first aid section of your local store)!. Do not swallow it, just have her rinse her mouth out with it!. Mix it together by moving the glass around ( approx 4 to 6 oz) small juice glass!.

The warm/hot water brings the wound to the surface!.The salt has healing qualities ,as well as does the hydrogen peroxide!. This will/may foam up once it comes in contact with the pus bacteria causing her infection!.This is normal and is alright, it is actually breaking down the bacteria/pus which is causing the infection!. Once the foaming has occurred, have her raise again with warm water!.

Her mouth may feel dry because of the salt!. So drinking water is good after rinsing!. Repeat a few times a day!. Additionally drink juices with Vitimin C are good for her!.The C helps in healing the tissue in the mouth!. Apple juice is good, because it is not as acidic as orange juice!. If she likes to drink it at room temperture, cover the drink with plastic wrap until she want to drink it, the Vit!. C can evaporate if it sits out on its own!.
If this is a bad infection she should talk to her doctor or dentist and take some oral medication to stop the infection from spreading to other parts of her mouth!. We all hate going to the dentist, trust me I know, I usually have to have medication to get me to go to the dentist and sit in his chair!. Have her talk to her local pharmacist, they may know of a rinse that may help in the healing
Your grandmother is very lucky to have you!.
I'll keep her in my prayers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She really needs to get to a dentist for an antibiotic!. In the meantime she could rinse with one of those new whitening rinses that contain peroxide to help kill it or loosen up whatever is causing the infection!. Sometimes they just need a good tooth cleaning at the dentist because excess plaque can cause the gums to become infected!. Either way, she needs to get to a dentist!. I know we all hate to go, maybe tell her you will go with her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
