I have a ball like bump in my jaw and it feels kind of strange. What is this?!

Question: I have a ball like bump in my jaw and it feels kind of strange!. What is this!?
It feels like I have a ball in my lower left jaw!. It doesn't hurt, but it feels kind of numb or strange!. About a year ago I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed!. After the surgery I've always had this strange feeling in my lower left jaw, but I was told that it could take a very long time before one fully heals after a wisdom tooth surgery!. So I just ignored this strange feeling in my jaw thinking that it is normal, but after discovering this little ball, I am now concerned!. Could someone please tell me what this could be and what I can do about it!? Thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to go to a dentist and have the area checked with x-rays!. You might have some type of cyst!. Depending on the type of cyst (Dentigerous cyst is common on extracted site), you may loose that section of the jaw, so don't wait!Www@Answer-Health@Com

See an oral surgeon for an examination!. Perhaps the socket did not heal properly!. Or it might be something else!. (like maybe he did not get all the root of the tooth out, maybe something got left behind)!. Let the oral surgeon X-ray the area and make his diagnosis!. (If you went to an oral surgeon for the extraction, go to a different one & tell him/her your problem!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a hard bump on my upper left gum that I was real curious about!. When I went to the dentist today she told me that it was something with my bones overlapping or whatever since I grind my teeth at night!. I'm not sure what yours might be, but if you are worried about it, i'm sure the dentist could tell you what it is!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
