I am getting my top 2 wisdom teeth out in 2 hrs?!
Question: I am getting my top 2 wisdom teeth out in 2 hrs!?
and I'm SCARED! I'm 24 and I've never had them extracted!. I am only getting the top two out and only doing the novocaine (no iV sedation, no general AS)!.
They are partially erupted, and I think the oral surgeon said they were partially impacted, but I can't remember!. Has anyone else been in a similar situation!? I keep reading about all of these awful noises and pulling you experience when you only have novocaine and now I'm really starting to sweat!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't have any problem in case there is bleeding you can try this!. A cool tea bag of any variety of tea containing tannic acid, such as green, black or oolong, can stop bleeding problems that often follow a tooth extraction!. Place a cool tea bag over the spot where your tooth was pulled, then bite gently!. i am a dental assistant and i see extractions like this all the time!. generally, there's no pain at all, it's just the noises you hear (it sounds like a cracking!.!.!.but don't worry it's not actually cracking!.) you also feel a pulling, suction kind of sensation!.!.!.usually it's a really simple, quick procedure though!. it's not painful, just uncomfortable!. don't freak out! it's a really good sign that it's already partially erupted, because now your dentist doesn't have to slice your gum open!. just keep your ice packs on your jaw constantly, don't suck at the wounds before you spit, don't eat hot foods and make sure you sit down/lie down pretty much straight after the operation!.
oh and there should be no drilling involved, like someone else said!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey don't sweat! Oral surgery is not hard!. You will first be numbed with anesthetics!. When the oral surgeon arrives just lay back and close your eyes!. Do as he says!. After your wisdom teeth are pulled out you can't eat anything for thirty minutes!. After those thirty mins!. are over buy a milkshake but don't zip through the straw drink it slowly!. If you zip though the straw blood will come out and the wound won't heal!. The cold also helps heal the wound!. Also eat soft foods like soup!. Don't eat chips!!! I had my two bottom ones removed, and will have to have the top ones done soon!. I was told the bottom ones are the worst in terms of swelling and everything!. I used the Novacaine and you could hear the drill and the tooth crack, but it really wasn't that bad!. I tried to zone out that noise and just listen to the music playing, maybe bring an I pod or something to help drown it all out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I personally haven't had them pulled!.!. but many suggest you get all four done at once!.!. my husband said it wasn't all that bad because they put him to sleep!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i just had mine done yesterday morning and i got all four!.!.!.!.my left top and bottom were all the way through and my right bottom wasnt at all and my right top was a small bit!.!.!.!.!.!.today the worst is my right side b/c they werent all the way through!.!.!.!.!.my left side!.!.!.has a huge whole there and really has no pian sicne they were through!.!.!.!.i have stiches on 3 of them !.!.!.in my opinion i would have waited untill they started hurting to get them done or you see a change in the way your teeth are turning!.!.!.!.for example!.!.!.my bottom left was hurting tremendously!!!! i should have just got that one done and then when another starter hurting got that one!.!.!.and so on!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.they noumb you up on the bottom wich numbs the top !.!.!.!.but the inside of your mouth on the top they dont so you will feel 6 little pinches from the needle on the top!.!.!.its not to much of pain though cuz he just barely sticks it in!.!.!.!.!.!.i got nitris oxcide and it relaxed me gooooood !. i was sooo nervous!!! and scared!!!!.!.!.!.!.!.she even gave me a blanket b/c i was freezing!!.!.!.!.for him to do all 4 teeth it took about 25 minutes!.!.!.i didnt even know the 3 were out but the one that is all the way through on the bottom hurt bad!!! b/c it wasnt completely numb like it should have been!.!.!.!.!.(on the inside of my mouth)!.!.!.!.!.!.they will giv u prescription after for pain i got darvaset and it works wonders!! also to make sure u dont get an infection they will prescribe antibiotics!.!.!.!.!.!.but id say since u have urs out already it would be really easy recovery for you!!! take the pain meds as soon as you get them!! dont wait for the numbness to wear off!!
