Wrist tattoo for a dental assistant?!
Question: Wrist tattoo for a dental assistant!?
I've been wanting to get a tattoo on the inside of my wrist for the longest time but Im about to become a certified dental assistant and im not sure how getting a tattoo there will affect my chances of getting hired!.!.should i get it!?

I wouldn't do it!. Dental assistants are supposed to look very professional!. This includes how they are dressed (I!.E!.: clean, nice scrubs), clean hair that is pulled back, and no heavy makeup!. I don't think a wrist tattoo is very professional!.

You are asking a very tough question!. In my dental office, I request the team members to have a professional appearance!. The size, color, and message of tattoo will determine whether you get hired!. If you think you are going to be overlooked for a job, then I would not get one!. There are others who might not feel the way I do!. Hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My wife is a dental hygienist!. She says, and I agree, that getting a tattoo will NEVER help you to get hired, but it might very easily give someone a reason to not offer you a job!. I've never heard of someone being rejected on the basis of not having a tattoo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm a dental assistant and I have a tattoo on the back of my neck that you can see when my hair is up(which it always is), my boss doesn't care at all because I do my job and I'm good at it!. But I also did get it after I was already working there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i would suggest getting it somewhere else!. most employers will not be too thrilled about them!. as in they dont leave a real professional apperance!. and since u will be working in a dental office u will be using your hands alot!. just really isnt a good spot to have one with your career!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
visable tatoos are frowned upon in most offices, your going to be using your hands all day so everyone will see the tat!. I wouldnt do it! You should get one where it can be hidden!.!.!.maybe your ankle!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
