Sound hurts my teeth?!
Question: Sound hurts my teeth!?
I've asked countless of dentists and other forums and such, and I just have to ask here!. Certain noises make my teeth hurt!. Not my ears, but my teeth!. Its like when they are sensitive to hot or cold, but with sound!. My teeth are sensitive anyway to hot and cold, but the sound is really the most annoying thing!. I can blow on my grapes to warm them up before eating them, I cant stop hearing!. It happens to my mom too, so I now I'm not crazy!. The sounds include scraching sounds, clinging sounds, squeaking sounds!. Just about any annoying sound you can think of!. I've learned to to deal with it, I suppose, but I just wonder where it comes from, and why it acts like this!. I also do get radio frequencies in my teeth in certain areas!. I heard this isn't normal, but how should I know, right!? Anyway, does anyone have any idea, or has they even heard of something like this!. I always get strange stares!. And I drive my fiance crazy when I tell him to stop doing something because it hurts my teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As for your fiance, just ask him to stop doing whats hurting you!. You don't need to clarify why, don't say "cause it is hurting my teeth!." Now the reason I would guess your teeth hurt to sound is because they are super-sensitive!. This means the nerves are like set to super-high!. So it is possible the sounds are traveling on your nerve through your ear and somewhere it intersects with your nerve to your mouth, which are set on "high"!. You most likely have sensitive ears too and this makes it worse to as it is hurting the nerves in the ear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You're not alone! I used to be a lyrical singer and I had to stop because my teeth would drive me nuts when I sang, especially the ones with fillings!. I was ONLY sensitive to sounds, not to cold, heat, etc!.
Now I have crowns and, despite their sensitivity to cold and heat, they aren't sensitive to sounds so I can sing again!.
It's weird LOL but you might want to have your fillings checked!. When I had them redone it improved the sensitivity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This has happened to me too!. Mostly, when I'm at concerts and when my teeth are clenched together!. I don't know what to do to help it go away, but I suggest researching a bit and seeing what other people's advice can get you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
