do you know how to brush your teeth properly!?

i am just asking because for instance, i was never taught the "proper" way to brush my teeth!. hence why my parents teeth are sooooooooo bad!.

Teach your children ASAP!. Why not!? their minds are like sponges right now, the sooner they know the better chances their teeth will be good for a super long time!.

Brushing your teeth!. This is what i know, use a soft bristle brush only! none of this medium or hard brushes, because you can brush away your gingival! brush for at least 2 minutes in a circular motion and at an angle!. and ALWAYS brush your tongue, use your tooth brush starting from the back near your throat and brush outwards kind of like a scooping motion, it totally helps with bad breathe!. Brush twice a day and ALWAYS floss!

best wishes!

btw, im in dental assisting school, so this is what i have learned!Www@Answer-Health@Com

for me definitly not i had to be physically shown how to brush my teeth!. My father brushed mine and my twin brothers every day morning and night until around kindigarden which is around age 5 and 6!. Just a little extra advice leave the toilet seat down, because I do remeamber my brother and I found it rather amusing to flush our tooth brushes down the toilet!. This costed my father many hundreds of dollars in plumbing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should teach your child about teeth hygiene as soon as they have teeth, maybe a little sooner!. You should first start with brushing their teeth for them!. Then maybe after a months they will probably want to try it, so let them and then give them a quick brushing to make sure their teeth are clean!. Eventually they'll be able to do it on their own!. Teeth hygiene is soooo important!. If you don't, they could get bottle rot with is super disgusting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When she was about 3, I would brush my daughters teeth when I brushed mine!. After a few months, I would have her hold her toothbrush and I told her to do what I do, while I watched!. I did let her pick out her toothbrush so she felt "bigger" and would want to use it more!. She is almost 13 and still no cavities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

buy toothpaste that is safe to swallow first!. then you can help them by basically doing it for them and once they understand what you are doing let them do it and then tell them they are supposed to spit the toothpaste out and when they are doing that get them normal toothpaste!. you could probably start around 3Www@Answer-Health@Com

my son is 4 and me and my husband brush his teeth!. he has watched us brush ours!. after we brush them he brushes to get the practice of it!. we use little bear tooth paste because they can swallow it!. it is in the tooth paste section in the grocery store!. also i would get ur child on floride drops if they r not on them yet unless he gets floride in ur water!. they say not to tell them brush their teeth until they r 10 or at least supervise them!. good luck hope this has helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am not sure but i would just brush them for them and evuntually they should be able to know how to do it by them selfs, and give them praise when they do wellWww@Answer-Health@Com
