Question: If I take my antibiotics for wisdom teeth, will it mess up my birth control!?
I heard antibiotics can reduce effectiveness but i'm not sure if it will with this kind!. It' suppose to reduce swelling and i'm going to be taking it for 2 days before i go in for surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah it messes up the pill, it does for mine anyway!.
It should say in the leaflet that came with your contraception whether antibiotics mess it up!.
Definitely use a condom while you're on the antibiotics, and for 2 weeks after you come off the antibiotics!.

It will make your pill less effective!. If your going to have sex, use a back up method like condoms until the antibiotics are out of your system!. Also, if you go tanning or are out in the sun a lot, be careful! Antibiotics will cause you to burn easily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's a 50/50 chance!. With my personal exp!. It did affect my birth control and i didn't realize it until a month later and i was pregnant!. The antibiotic decreases the affect of the birth control!. To be on the safe side talk to your Dr!. Best of luck and take careWww@Answer-Health@Com
