Question: Why won't my mouth open al the way!?
okay so like 9 months ago i was chewing gum and all of a sudden i feel something in my jaw go pop!. i tried opening my mouth and it did just not all the way!. Then after two weeks i could open my mouth again!.So like i close my mouth and when i try to open it the left side of where my top and bottom jaw connect like i push my finger against it and my nerve moves and i now something is really wrong with it and i force my jaw open cause well i can't scream with a half open mouth so it pops from the left side again and i try to tell my parents but they say nothings wrong im jusr faking it and cause i don't have insurance either and i have no idea what to do so help me please! U have a temporomandibular joint problem!. You should see a maxillofacial dentist or maybe an orthodontist!. Meantime, try not to open ur mouth too much, u can put hot towels in front of ur ear and also u can have a muscle relaxant with analgesic every 6 to 8 hours!. TMJ, I have it!. My jaw opens partially and then clicks top the side to open all the way!. Sometimes it locks!. Don't freak out, there's nothing to do about it, but tell the dentist when you have work done so he can give you breaks and be prepared to unlock you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
