Question: I see my wisdom tooth growing in... !?
I see my wisdom tooth growing in on one side of my mouth. I'm going to go to the dentist for all the necessary procedures, but how long can I wait to do this? I only ask because I'm swamped with work for the next 2 weeks... I have only a little bit of pain right now (but I think it will rapidly get worse within a week or so) and I try not to chew with this side of my mouth as much as possible. However, it's not unbearable at this point. I'm going to go as soon as possible, but how long can I wait to go? Also, when will the one on the other side come in (normally when does it)?

Not all wisdom tooth requires extraction. If the wisdom tooth comes up straight inline with the rest then you can leave it alone. The reason it hurts sometimes during eruption is due to food impaction or you bites on the gum and causes the gum to swell up. I think you can observe it while keeping the area cleans. If you don't have waterpik, you should get one. See the link below for a good waterpik.
