Question: My orthadontist said he's going to expand/reconstruct my upper jaw? does this mean a palate expander?

I'm not sure how to explain how he put it.
He said he wanted to bring my teeth to move to the sides..so expand it i guess.
Wlil he use different wires? or a palate expander?

wires wont be able to expand the palate.
he will give you a palatal expander either FIXED or removable.
