In most cases, if you did not hurt your teeth/tooth/gums at all bleeding from the gums is usually an early sign or a sign of gingivitis. Obviously, without being your dentist it is impossible to know the reason for sure.

I would recommend seeing a dentist for the problem, having yearly cleanings and always brushing 2-3 times a day and flossing.

You have gingivitis and/or periodontal disease. Floss and brush twice a day. Brush with a 'soft' bristled toothbrush.
