Question: Did the doctor give anesthesia the right way?
he pressed down my daughter (10) face down and kept pressing down and stuff like she couldn't breathe and closed her and mouth and nose at the same time?? wth? and then he said he couldn't do it BECAUSE my daugter was moving alot and was rlly uncomfortable.. plz answer asap.

Your description makes no sense. Pressing a mask onto her face? If he was trying to put her to sleep with gas, the mask has to fit tightly over both nose and mouth. Breath-holding is common during mask inductions. Ten years old and uncooperative is a nightmare from the anesthesiologist's point of view.

That is why patients over about 7 years of age ought to get an IV and not a mask induction. It's also why parents who have no idea what's going on should not be allowed into operating rooms.

If I were in that situation, I'd have stuck her with a syringe full of ketamine (after asking her nicely to cooperate). That take the fight out of them in about 30 seconds.

I'm betting that the anesthesiologist did the best he could in a difficult situation (and with an audience). He probably deserves a thank you instead of criticism.
