What to do? Retainers problem?!

Does it fit in at all? if yes but it is just uncomfartable wear it a little bit each day until you can tolerate it. If it doesn't fit at all make an appointment w you orthodontist for a new one befor eyour teeth shift more. If you don't wear a retainer your teeth will try to revert back to thier original posistion making it so you need braces again. Why a sore in your mouth for several months? Is it gone now. You should get any wounds that haven't improved or healed within 2 weeks checked by doctor or dentist.

I had the same problem!
Just go back to the orthodontists and get it re-fitted or fixed.
Explain the them why yu didn't;t wear it; they can usually adjust the shape so you won't get the sore again.
You won't need to have braces again; that's only if your teeth have completely returned back to what they were before.

I don't think that you'd have to get braces again, unless your teeth have relapsed severely. But, best case scenario, your orthodontist can get a new bottom retainer made for you, or add a fixed retainer to your bottom teeth.

get your retainers adjusted from the dentist.
it might help to reposition the teeth if its not too late.
