You can try mixing a little bit of baking soda (start w/ maybe a 1/2 teaspoon) with your toothpaste. don't do this all the time, as soda can be abrasive and damage your teeth.

I think out of the all the home remedies swishing with peroxide whitens well. but make sure to dilute the peroxide with some water, before rinsing (and of course do not swallow). there are some mouthwashes/rinses that contain hydrogen peroxide (i have tried and use the crest vivid white one) that work well...just make sure that it doesn't contain more than 1.5% peroxide.

there are other remedies (brushing with strawberry pulp, lemon/orange peel etc) but the acidity can be harmful to your teeth.
