What can I do to make my teeth whiter?!

Question: What can I do to make my teeth whiter?
Seriously, I don't know what do to anymore. I brush my teeth twice a day, and I floss like 4 times a week + different types of cleansing fluids every day. I've tried an electric brush, everything.. Especially I'm having a problem trying to shake the yellowness off of my "corner" teeth. It's not like my teeth are YELLOW, they're okay, but they have like a yellow-ish shine to them, and I can't get rid of it, and it makes me crazy. I'm afraid of bleeching, it can't be good for you...

Answers:

I used Listerine White Strips, it worked very good and you get about 74 strips in the box.
But I had to split the strips with my sister, so my teeth didn't get as white as I wanted them too.
But, let me tell you, they work GREAT. And you start seeing results in about three days, and I would recommend that people that want to whiten their teeth use them. Also, I don't think that just one box will work though, maybe about 2 boxes then half a box would work? Maybe 1 and a half would work if your teeth aren't dark yellow, or whatever. Also, you could start brushing your teeth with toothpaste that has whitening strips in them but put a little baking soda on top of the tooth paste, but don't put to much or it'll be very salty and nasty. Also, once you do that you should also swish some peroxide in your mouth for about a minute, then spit, rinse, then use mouthwash that whitens your teeth. I think that if you use the strips, the baking soda, and the peroxide as your daily routine then your teeth will get whiter faster. Also, it will be cheaper then going to the dentist and him/her bleaching them for you.
Bleaching your teeth gets the enamel off of your teeth and you need enamel for your teeth. But yeah, I hope I helped you out.

Experience

This sounds bizarre, but it honestly works. If you have never heard of "oil pulling", please look it up. It's cheap, easy and effective. Basically, you take a tablespoonful of oil - ideally cold-pressed sunflower or sesame oil, but some people use olive oil and others - and you swill it around your mouth and "pull" it through your teeth and around the gums for twenty minutes. Make sure you cover all the teeth. Do it first thing in the morning before cleaning your teeth and on an empty stomach (to avoid feeling sick). Then rinse your mouth out and clean your teeth.

There are numerous forums about this online if you want to do some research, and people swear by it for all kinds of health complaints, but one thing they seem to be unanimous on is that it definitely whitens teeth. I can personally vouch for this claim and it doesn't take long before you start noticing the results, either - usually only a few days - though if you do it regularly it will obviously be more effective.

I don't know why this ancient Ayurvedic practice works, but it really does.

Do you remember Gordon Moores toothpaste? It was discontinued. There is a new Product that does exactly the same job - It is called 'Email Diamant'.
You can buy it from
http://www.gordonmoorestoothpaste.com/

I bought couple of tubes some time ago...It containes a red coloring agent that enhanced gum and tooth contrast. And it is excellent for removing stains from your teeth.

Email Diamant - the cosmetic toothpaste with the "Red Formula" has added color to gums - which helps enhance the whiteness of the teeth. Polishing agents gently clean, essential oils prevent the formulation of dental plaque and natural light reflectors add sparkle to your pearly whites!

Try getting them bleached by a doctor rather than doing at home yourself, there's less chance of anything going wrong if you get your teeth whitened professionally. Bleaching is a common long term visual agent that will last for quite a long time but not forever, bleaching coats your teeth with a clean white shiny layer.

here's a whole blog story on this...
