My molar band broke in half?!

I have braces. My next appointment is in a weel. but i just broke my molar band around the end molar in half but somehow its barely still on the molar. i went today to the dentist and asked them if they could fix it but they were being bitches and said no cuz they were busy but i finally convinced them so they said i could go tmwr and MAYBE they could fix it. i wanted to know if this is a major situation??? will it slow down the process even though it was only broken for about 2 days? it hurts like this when i eat!
