1-2 years. Possibly less.
it all depends on how your teeth are. personally i had to have them only 18 months. most people get them for 24 months+ also when you get rubber bands, WEAR them! if you don't wear them then you will have braces on longer. also you can still eat taffy if you suck on it and chew gum. the dentist lies.
No one besides ur dentist can anwser this cause we dont know how bad ur teeth r. Ik a person who only had them on for 3 months and another person who had them on for 9 years so it really depends :)

do you really brush your teeth for 2 minutes like dentists recommend? I didn't believe in flossing until I made it a habit and it start making a difference
it depends how crooked or displaced your teeth are but usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.
