I can't stop biting the inside of my mouth? What can i do to stop?!
Question: I can't stop biting the inside of my mouth? What can i do to stop?
Answers:
try a mouth guard. Or, chew gum...gum in general is not good for your teeth..neither is biting your own flesh...i do this as well..not only my cheeks, but my tongue as well...take care of your mouth more often than usual. if your swish mouthwash 3 times instead of 2...its a continuous cycle..when you bite on your cheek, you create a wound, a scab forms...which can be scraped off your cheek easily by biting it again...your tongue feels it and you can feel it whenever you eat something or talk...you bite on it more and it doesn't heal. also when you swallow enough of the inside of your mouth, it can build up in your throat. this can cause discomfort/plaque buildup. stress can usually cause this...sometimes you dont even know your doing it...right
Chew some gum.
That is a trait exhibited by many meth addicts, maybe look up one of their support group sites and see what they advise for dealing with this problem. Good Luck.
Every time you feel the urge to, count to ten or distract yourself.
