Are receding gums 100% reversible?!
Question: Are receding gums 100% reversible?
I've been brushing too hard for a while, and I've been diagnosed with receding gums. I have sensitivity to cold water, pain, etc.= the typical symptoms. I'm starting to brush much more softly. My question is, if I avoid any damage to the gums, will they grow back completely? It is only a mild case at the moment.
And what if, theoretically, it was severe? Would it still grow back completely if treated or would there need to be some kind of procedure?
Consider this as in a 17 year old healthy teenage male.

Once the gums have receded, they will not return to their normal position. A gingival graft would be required. There are several ways to treat the sensitivity. Good luck

they can fix on their own.. use a soft toothbrush..
