I just had mine taken out on Tuesday (two pulled because they were fully in and the other two were under the gum so they had to made an incision in my gum to get them out.)
I had them taken out at my normal dentists office. I was given a Versed 12.5mg lollipop as a sedative; the lollipop barely effected me but I was told by the dentist that he's never seen someone be able to walk straight after consuming the lollipop.
I also had numbing shots.
I could not feel anything and had no pain with the extraction. I had mild discomfort (nothing that Tylenol won't take care of) after the numbing agent wore off. And I have only had mild discomfort and some swelling.
I was only able to eat soft foods the first day (pudding, yogurt, applesauce, etc) but I was able to eat normal foods the day after.
Hope this helps and good luck!
I worked in a dental office and some people do strange things from the anesthesia like laugh or yell or say funny things, but mostly its when you're waking up. If you're being put to sleep then you won't remember a thing. When I had mine out I remember sitting in the chair and the dentist asking me to count and I only got to 3, next thing I know I'm in the car on the way home. I remember nothing else. I had alot of pain for the next 3 days, but I'm a bit older than you and for some reason that makes a difference. You're young so you should recover pretty fast, though everyone is different. I wouldn't worry about it too much, you'll be fine.
You will have enough self control. You probably won't remember much.
