Question: How to keep from gagging when brushing your back teeth, if your gag reflex is sensitive?
Answers:
We used to suggest this when a child was having a throat swab for strep throat and I think it would work for this too:
While brushing your teeth, sing a high note with your mouth wide open. The rush of air out keeps the gag reflex down and the high pitch of the note closes the throat smaller so you also do not gag.
Just brush lightly and carefully don't use a hard toothbrush eiether
