Go and see your dentist. The sooner he starts work on your teeth, the better the chance of saving them. If they do have to be replaced, there are 3 options:

1) White fillings. On your front teeth these are more coating than filling. Your dentist rebuilds your teeth with polyester resin. After about 5 years, these begin to fall apart and have to be redone.

2) Metal caps. This is what you're worried about. You can get gold or silver ones, but at the front of your mouth, they are usually coated with white enamel

3) Porcelain caps. These last for 40 years or so, but they are expensive.

No one will put silver filling in front teeth, so don't worry about silver filling placed in front teeth. Even if they provide you crown, they will give you Tooth colored crown which is Partial Ceramic crown or Complete Ceramic crown!

For front teeth there are usually Tooth Colored fillings present, You can ask your dentist to fill either Composites or GIC cements as filling, or if they are putting crowns then you can select between partial or full CERAMIC crown.
No need to worry.

Good question and I have had something similar happen to me. I am not the best dental patient and I used to lose sleep the night before as I was so scared and petrified due to an extremely horrendous experience when I was younger.

Ask your dentist for a white filling as they should do this normally if not find one that does as your smile is precius to you.

But no more as I have a very sympathetic dentist who explains everything to me so that i know what is going on and he uses the least invasive procedure as a matter of course.

You need to overcome your fear from past experience to get the treatment you need as pain, worry and loss of sleep must be overcome.

If you get those screw in teeth, they are white also.

I heard that they can put pig teeth on you, they looks just like human teeth but maybe they're pricey
