Answers:
Your teeth have been traumatized and with time, the tenderness will go away. Just avoid biting on them directly until they begin to feel better. FYI, a hard impact to any tooth may cause the nerve to die and the older you are, the greater the chances of that happening. The most common sign of a front tooth with a dead nerve is a darkening or color change. If you have no symptoms after 6 or more months, have an x-ray taken to be sure the tooth is ok. Do not have an x-ray taken now because it will be too soon for any radiographic changes to show up and don't make a special appointment to have it done; ask the dentist to do it when you are in for your routine checkup.
