Answers:

Looks like a sign of infected tooth....Get it treated as soon as possible..
Apply ice pack on affected side to relieve pain & swelling.
Continue ibuprofen thrice daily after food.
Salt water gargle with warm water...

My brother had that, and it was an infection. He went to the dentist and he had to get a crown and root canal.
*Edit I misread that, well what you are doing is the correct thing, and only eat from the side that doesn't hurt.

I'm not here to diagnose, but when you said you have a bump filled with something that would be an abscess. The reason you're getting an abscess is because your tooth has an infection which requires attention from a dentist or an endodontist. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING will take the pain away until you get to the dentist. Your face is swollen because there is in infection. What I will tell you to do is keep taking ibuprofen, it reduces inflammation, the pain may not be taken away but, it will reduce some swelling. If possible, go to the store and find a toothache kit or go to the pharmacy and ask for "Oil of Cloves" or anything with Eugenol in it. Those are meant to sooth the pulp (Where the infection lies) and rub it on the tooth, keep it away from the gums that may cause irritation. This is an emergency situation, you can't wait two more days, it'll only get worse. Because you are showing story book symptoms of pulpitis, (inflammation of the pulp) you need some attention for a dentist, whether you like it or not. Keep icing, taking ibuprofen (Call your doctor about how much you should be taking, it varies per person) both will reduce inflammation. The less inflammation, the easier the healing process. Do yourself a favor and get to a dentist TODAY.

DO NOT POP THE ABSCESS BY YOURSELF. Also, do not listen to the home remedies the woman above gave you, I'm a real dental professional, the advice I have given you is the most accurate, there is no 'home remedy'

Dental Assistant.

Abscess....i hate that

1.Place a dry black teabag or small piece of raw potato inside of your cheek against the sore tooth and keep it in for a couple of hours or overnight. It can draw out the infection and drain the pus. The result is diminished pain and swelling.

2.Make a gum poultice or packing around the painful tooth with salt and baking soda. Mix half baking soda and half cooking salt and dip a wet cotton ball into the salt mixture and stuff it in your mouth between sick tooth and cheek. Keep it in for several hours. Repeat this pack for a few times, it is able to drain out the gum boil.

3.In between swish around your mouth with Hydrogen Peroxide 1,5% as a mouthwash in order to disinfect the inflamed area. If you do not prefer Hydrogen Peroxide, you may use also Tea Tree oil in some water as a gargle. (You can use Colloidal Silver or Grapefruit Seed Extract as natural antibiotics as well.)

4.If the abscess begins to discharge, pus is coming out, you feel an odd taste in your mouth brush your teeth (perhaps with a baking soda/peroxide toothpaste) and repeat the disinfectant H2O2 gargle. After rinsing take a cotton ball and soak it in Hydrogen Peroxide and place it on the opened, discharging abcess.

5.You can assist the drainage by lightly pushing against your cheek near the abcess. BUT, only lightly! If you press strongly you may push pus into the bloodstream or nearby tissues which can cause a more serious infection.

6.Take 3 or 4 garlic capsules (300mg) a day for 5 days as a natural antibiotic and Vitamin C 1000mg three times a day for 3 days.
