Pain in shoulders after laparoscopy? How long?!

Question: Hi, I just had a lubal ligation by laparoscopy yesterday, and I'm doing great. My abdomen doesn't even really hurt anymore. However, the pain in my shoulders from the Carbon Dioxide is really annoying. How long does it take for that pain to go away? Anyone know? Thanks!

Based upon past experience, the gas should dissipate within 24 - 48 hours and your pain should resolve.
