Need help deciphering doctor speak....?!

Question: Sunday I was taken to the hospital with what I considered the worst headache EVER. I stayed overnight and had CT and MRI's done and I've come home with Topamax. The neurologist is monitoring the shakes, the slurring, and the lack of motor function from Sunday while in hospital. The ER docs thought it was a migraine but the neurologist is leaning more towards a blood clot. Is that along the lines of a stroke? I'm confused.

topamax is a blood thinning drug, like wharferin. you havent got a blood clot or else you would be in hospital now, but the doctors think that you could be on the verge of one so are taking no chances

Yes. If you get a blood clot in the blood vessels that supply your brain, the blood supply will be blocked.

This will cause brain cells in part of the brain to die.

That is what a stroke is.
