I have had a cough since summer and it won't go away what should I do?!
Question: Ok I developed a cough about the end of June and it went away about in the middle of September. Then it came back at the beginning of October and left the middle of November then right at the beginning of December it came back. I have taken medicine day in and day out for who knows how long and I am sick and tired of it. And I don't want to have to go to the doctor for this so please someone give me some advice on it. Thanks.

The only thing to do is go to the doctor. This can be asthma,allergies, bronchitis, emphysema, etc. Why play with fire.
I know that you don't want to go to the doctor. But you can't possibly expect sound medical advice from yahoo answers. You don't know how serious your cough could be. You don't want to hear it, but honestly go to the doctor! :-)
I had this same thing happen to me. When I finally went to the Dr., he put me on a short course of oral solumedrol ( a steroid) and it went away.
