Why do we never sneeze while we are sleeping??!

I wake up and sneeze in the middle of the night if the cold from the ceiling fan tickles my nose...maybe it is just a rare thing for you. I never get hickups.
I think we do, I once woke up and my pillow was soggy and slimey, nothing you can talk about in mixed company. I had to throw away my pillow and case.
I think we don't realize, but i do sneeze some times when i am sleeping.
