Is it possible for one person to posses both female and male genitals?!

Question: I just wanted to know because the subject came up in my health class. Also, hypothetically, could that result in a pregnancy?

Yes; such a person is called a hermaphrodite. However, the person is still either a male or female genetically speaking (either XX or XY), and as such, can produce either eggs or sperm, but not both. In a human fetus/embryo, there are two structures that become ovaries in a female, or testicles in a male. Short of having two SETS of those structures, it's not possible for one individual to produce both eggs AND sperm, so pregnancy is not possible.

In years past, many such children were raised as girls; however, now, with DNA testing, it is possible to find out whether the child in question is genetically male or female, and such children are generally raised thinking of themselves as the corresponding gender in terms of identity.

Yes they can have both, though, in western countries, a gender assignment will take place very early in life.
