i can't either. i have no clue why i just kinda gag when i try. i use dissolving strips, chewables or liquids.

one of my friends at work is 26 and still can't. its not uncommon.

I can't either! It's like my throat won't let me! I guess its something psychological.

up into my mid twenties i had a heck of a times taking tablets would hold them between my teeth then take a huge drink swallowing quickly followed by another drink.when they stick it's not good.
keep trying you may find it easier

You are not alone. I am a 41 year-old mother of two, and I cannot swallow pills very easily at all. In fact, the largest thing I ever swallow is Advil, because I do get a lot of sinus headaches and Advil works well for me when I have my headaches. As far as antibiotics go, I always have to ask the dr. to fill a liquid for me. Even in 2001 when I had to have surgery to have a large tumor removed from my sinus/jaw area. They put me on the antibiotics so I wouldn't get an infection after the surgery, and I just could not swallow the pills so after I was sent home, I had to call my dr. and ask him to change them to liquid. I know it is all in my head that I cannot swallow pills, cause I have no problem swallowing my food, so if you also only have a problem with pills, it is just psychological. You would only need to worry if you had problems swallowing other things, or have pain when you swallow. It is a major inconvenience, though, not to mention embarrasing when you have to ask your dr. to write prescriptions for liquids for you. As you age, you start experiencing other issues that require certain meds that do not come in a liquid form. I am scared that is going to happen to me soon, as I am in my 40's already. What do I do when I can't swallow a pill I need? Good luck with your problem.

i have enlarged tonsils from growing up with smokers, and the pills get stuck on them sometimes. i have to split pills in half, even small ones.

i'm the same way i've tried everything, putting it in food, putting butter on it so it will slide down but it won't work

yes i can swallow them with no problem...

I know! I mean, I can, because I'm used to it. But with big pills, they feel like they're going down my spine! It seriously does. lol. It hurts in my back really bad! It was really hard at first, even small pills! It's crazy!

me either girl!
when i'm sick, i let my immune system
fight it on its on. i don't take any medicine
period. i hate it

I cant swallow pills either!? Even if its really small. What do is bite it, or cutt untill its like dust, then put it in water.

I am glad I am not alone. I had a bad infection, after having a mold removed, and I needed to go to the hospital every 12 hours for two months. I started crying one late night, when the ER doctor told me that he was going to take me off the medicine because I didn't deserve the expensive meds.

BTW:My leg is fine...

I have this same problem! I've tried everything! My step-dad tried just throwing it down my throat really hard, but that didn't work.
