Does this sound like a dangerous lymph node? **PLEASE ANSWER ASAP**?!

Question: It's small (Almost flat, and 1cm x 1cm large) and painless. It is behind my ear and has been there for a long time (I'd say almost a year now...?) I asked my doctor about it and he felt it and doesn't think it's anything to worry about, although I don't think I mentioned how long it's been there for... If this was a sign of a tumor or cancer, would I have been getting noticable symptoms by now and would there be more/larger lymph nodes?

I would say that you go back to your doctor within the next week or so and tell him how long its been there and if he could do a biopsy of it just to make sure it is not a lymph node. If for whatever reason you cannot go in for a visit (laziness DOES NOT count), then call him and explain to him the situation.

It is always best to be honest with all medical personal, considering that the answers you give them could be the difference between life and death.
