If you had head lice wouldn't they just drown if you take a bath?!
Question: No, as head lice can hold their breath for extended periods of time, and they are also really great swimmers.
The best way to get rid of head lice is to either burn them off, or dip your head in a large bucket with a 30% muriatic acid solution. Make sure you wear gloves. You may have to dip again in another week or so to kill the eggs that have newly hatched. You can probably do this from your hospital bed, when the nurse isn't around.
