You may need to use an insecticide in your room. They use insecticides on motel beds. Washing your bedding may not be sufficient to get rid of them. I know fleas can survive almost anything.

The problem is the eggs. The fleas drown, but the eggs don't. Then they hatch and there are lots of fleas. Lice are probably the same. (I'm not a biologist, so that's a guess.)

I can say that your body chemistry has a lot to do with it. My husband is bug candy. Bugs will chew him up and leave me alone. They find him instantly. I went walking with this lady I know and the same thing happened. Neither of us wore repellent, and she was just covered with mosquitoes. I wasn't.

They only control you have over your body chemistry is your diet. So you could try reading up on what foods you could eat to keep bugs away (or what foods make you into bug candy). It might help, but it's not any sort of proven science, just an idea.

If you wash everything you came into contact with (sheets, stuffed animals etc) you should be fine. I'd wash your hair with lice shampoo again in a few days though just to be sure.

Wash all your bedding. And stuffed animals. And pillows. Then wash them again. Good luck

they will only return if you still have them >.>

Anyone can get lice. Just make sure to clean all your bedding really good and vacuum your furniture, get rid of your old brushes and hair accessories or it can get you again. Good luck dear, it does suck!

it is possible, but id make sure to keep combing 2 times a day, and keep your head clean and be sure to clean your bead spread too.

you also need to launder your sheets and clean your brushes and combs.

no not if you killed the eggs, and stay away from those places

Make sure to clean all bedding and stuffed animals.... lice can always return, but just make precautions to make sure there were no larve on bedding and toys!

What you should do I just be cautious... Dont go rubbing your head up to other people... And in a week or so check again...Just in case you didnt get all the nits out.

they probably will, so you should wash your hair with the lice shampoo once a week for like 3-4 weeks to make sure they stay gone!

no i dont think they will return. Just avoid ppl w/lice and dont ever tell them why. But it might b a good idea if u told them to fix it.

you need to treat and clean your bedding and other areas in your house... also you need to make sure that after the first shampoo/treatment you do it again in a week (i think thats what it is).

mwahhhhhh.
sucks to be you.

ughh if i were you id get a comb & some treatment.
headlice sucks badlyy.

Get some stuff at the drug store called RID ...works great.

yes if u have a rug or carpet floors u need to shampoo them and wach all ur sheets and everything and if xxxx gave them to u ,,,u need to get away from xxxx till they get rid off themtoo..... use rid X to ensure they do not come back..... good luck!!

There is a chance they wont return, if your sheets, liens, hats, and jakets are washed carefuily ....

Good luck with getting red of them

i think that you are supposed to put everything that came in contact with your head in bags for about a month. then you have to keep combing your hair because you have to get all the "nits" or eggs out of your hair before they hatch. this what i had to do so good luck!!

it depends because maybe that person or someone at the sleepover spread it or you got it from him/her... be careful to somebody...

Lice:
Often very difficult to get rid of. The head lice eggs appear as tiny droplet-shaped white things on the hair. When they hatch, they can jump from one head to another. Follow the directions on the shampoo you purchased from your pharmacist. There is a repeat process for shampooing but even more importantly, your pillows, bed linens, clothes have to be washed in very hottest of water and/or if not washable have to be put into the dryer on the hottest of temperature for about 20 minutes to kill the buggers.

Eradicating the head lice can be very problematic because when alive they jump and when in egg form can hatch.

Wash everything in sight preferably with bleach.
Wipe down your counter-tops with a solution of bleach.
Keep in mind that bleach and very hot temperatures kills them.

Seems most likely you did acquire head lice from the source you mentioned: 1. my friend at her sleepover, 2, my friend's grandmas daycare center.

ALL PILLOWS, BLANKETS, WEARING ATTIRE, COMBS, BRUSHES, COUNTERTOPS to bleach and hottest of water
NOW.

once you have shampooed with the lice shampoo and cleaned all things around ya like pillows, sheets, brushes, ect...
you can then do a mayonnaise treatment , You take a ample amount of mayo and put it on your hair take a plastic cap or bag and cover your hair in it for about 30 minutes it will smother the bug out and kill it makes it easier to remove any eggs left over also serves as a deep conditioner so its a win-win situation , good luck... you can also try washing your hair in dog shampoo as well
