How long does a Urinary Tract Infection usually last?!

Question: All such usually vary between individuals, but dietary habits & lifestyles sometimes have an effect on UTI's & those who suffer from them. Most will learn that UTI's are more likely with alcohol/drinking, sex habits & toliet habits may also effect the length as well as likliehood of repeat occurence. Simply try increasing your fluid intake by drinking more water/cranberry juice too, taking cranberry capsules(OTC) also may help alleviate the re-currence of UTI, for some. Try these few things & hopefully you won't suffer too long. Also, you will learn that if you do not get at least an OTC(over-the-counter) medication to assist you through the onset of urinary discomfort, the liklihood of it lasting longer is a definite possibilty! So once you notice the signs & symptoms get some medicine to alleviate the discomforts, or get a perscription from your Dr, as soon as possible. With medication your UTI will generally subside within a week. But should you not follow medical directions you may also learn that your UTI can re-appear quite quickly IF you are careless. UTI can certainly make you feel awful, so try to more attentive to your habits/lifestyle so as to avoid repeat UTI's.
